Then add cucumber, leftover rice, and your kiddo’s favorite fruit, along with their favorite snack. The good news is that you can easily use leftovers from dinner and then stick a toothpick through them. Think chicken satay, sausage, beef, or even shrimp skewers (check about allergies first if your kids are in a school setting). It’s enough of a novelty that it won’t leave them bored with eating, plus they’ll be getting plenty of protein, fats, and veggies too. This is why food on sticks is kind of perfect.

I am not denying beauty, but presenting it in a different light.” The combination is something that gives it real beauty. I take that cute teddy bear and I give it a bit of a shock - that bit of violence. “In my work I want to express not something merely pretty or cute, but to find something behind it,” explains Takahashi. There was a period in Takahashi’s work where he continually made monstrous-looking ‘Gila’ dolls (named after a species of venomous lizard) out of teddy bears, and a teddy bear with blocked-out eyes has become the brand’s unofficial mascot. The designer insists that, no matter the complexity or price of a garment, he imbues everything he produces with an equal degree of creativity, which appears to flow directly from his mind’s seemingly unbounded capacity for conjuring up a unique universe of intricate and slightly warped fantasies. Indeed, Takahashi’s label - which turns 25 this year and is celebrating the milestone with a major retrospective at the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, a monograph published by Rizzoli and a men’s collection that riffs on the Undercover archives - is equally famous for its graphic t-shirts, favoured by teenagers, as its conceptual runway pieces. It's a view that is encapsulated in Undercover's motto - "We Make Noise, Not Clothes" - and reflected in its wildly imaginative collections, simultaneously sinister and playful, which broke down the divide between the street and the runway long before the rise of luxury streetwear. Otherwise, it's just cocktail dresses and bags - and that's not interesting." So says Jun Takahashi, designer of Japanese label Undercover, in a rare interview at the company's offices in the Tokyo neighbourhood of Harajuku. Ash scans the Pokémon with his Pokédex and it is revealed to be a Chesnaught. Just then, a Seed Bomb attack is sent towards the group as a Pokémon stands on top of a rock, staring at them. The dividend yield can be calculated from the last full year's financial report. Dividend Yield = Price Per Share Annual Dividends Per Share The turnover level for a fund is typically based on the investment strategy of the fund manager, so a buy-and-hold manager will experience a low turnover ratio, while a manager with a more active strategy will be more likely to experience a high turnover ratio and must generate greater returns in order to offset the increased transaction fees. The formula for dividend yield is as follows: A low turnover ratio implies that the fund manager is not incurring many brokerage transaction fees to sell off and/or purchase securities. In this context, it refers to the proportion of investment holdings that have been replaced in a given year. The turnover ratio concept is also used in relation to investment funds. Total supplier purchases ÷ ((Beginning accounts payable + Ending accounts payable) / 2) Investment Fund Turnover To calculate the accounts payable turnover ratio, summarize all purchases from suppliers during the measurement period and divide by the average amount of accounts payable during that period. It is primarily impacted by the terms negotiated with suppliers and the presence of early payment discounts. The accounts payable turnover ratio measures the time period over which a company is allowed to hold trade payables before being obligated to pay suppliers. Net annual sales ÷ (Gross fixed assets - Accumulated depreciation) = Fixed asset turnover ratio Accounts Payable Turnover Ratio The formula for the ratio is to subtract accumulated depreciation from gross fixed assets, and divide that amount into net annual sales. It can be impacted by the use of throughput analysis, manufacturing outsourcing, capacity management, and other factors. The fixed asset turnover ratio measures the fixed asset investment needed to maintain a given amount of sales. The formula is:Īnnual cost of goods sold ÷ Inventory = Inventory turnover Fixed Asset Turnover Ratio If the ending inventory figure is not a representative number, then use an average figure instead, such as the average of the beginning and ending inventory balances. To calculate inventory turnover, divide the ending inventory figure into the annualized cost of sales. It can be impacted by the type of production process flow system used, the presence of obsolete inventory, management's policy for filling orders, inventory record accuracy, the use of manufacturing outsourcing, and so on. The inventory turnover ratio measures the amount of inventory that must be maintained to support a given amount of sales. Net Annual Credit Sales ÷ ((Beginning Accounts Receivable + Ending Accounts Receivable) / 2) Inventory Turnover Ratio To calculate receivables turnover, add together beginning and ending accounts receivable to arrive at the average accounts receivable for the measurement period, and divide into the net credit sales for the year. It can be impacted by the corporate credit policy, payment terms, the accuracy of billings, the activity level of the collections staff, the promptness of deduction processing, and a multitude of other factors. The accounts receivable turnover ratio measures the time it takes to collect an average amount of accounts receivable. Examples of turnover ratios are noted below. Conversely, a low liability turnover ratio (usually in relation to accounts payable) is considered good, since it implies that a company is taking the longest possible amount of time in which to pay its suppliers, and so retains its cash for a longer period of time. This implies a minimal need for invested funds, and therefore a high return on investment. In most cases, a high asset turnover ratio is considered good, since it implies that receivables are collected quickly, fixed assets are heavily utilized, and little excess inventory is kept on hand. The concept is useful for determining the efficiency with which a business utilizes its assets. A turnover ratio represents the amount of assets or liabilities that a company replaces in relation to its sales. In severe cases, a provider may elect an open approach to expose the bone to insert a plate across the fracture site. In most cases, they are treated by immobilizing the bone with a cast or splint. Treatment of a greenstick fracture varies on severity. Greenstick fractures occur most often in the fibula, tibia, ulna, radius, humerus, and clavicle. A greenstick fracture is a partial thickness fracture where only the cortex and periosteum crack on one side but remain uninterrupted on the other. These types of fractures have not been found to occur in adults. This is due to their bones being softer and more flexible than adult bones. Most greenstick fractures occur in children under the age of 10. It is called a “greenstick fracture” because the fracture itself looks like what happens when you try and break a small green branch on a tree. In this case the bone cracks on one side. All rights reserved. What is a greenstick fracture? A greenstick fracture occurs when a bone bends and cracks, instead of breaking into separate pieces. No displacement or angulation of bone seen. Mild overlying soft tissue swelling seen. Caregivers did not provide a mechanism of injury for half of children with abusive fractures, whereas caregivers provided some explanation for all children with non-abusive fractures.Ĭhild abuse Fractures Humerus injuries.Ĭopyright © 2017 Elsevier Ltd. Patient Data Age: 10 years Gender: Male x-ray There is an incomplete fracture seen involving proximal shaft of the right humerus. Some of the most common include: Femur (thigh). These fractures can affect any large or long bone in your body. The term comminuted fracture refers to a bone that is broken in at least two places. However, splints need to be worn consistently to work. Comminuted (pronounced kah-meh-noot-ed) fractures are a type of broken bone. The bone on the greenstick side of the injury is pulled apart rather than being compressed on itself in a buckle fracture. A younger age, non-ambulatory developmental stage, and the presence of additional injuries were significantly associated with abusive fractures. Greenstick fractures: Considered a 'tension' injury because the bone is pulled too far on one side. There is no fracture line or visible cortical injury. The bowing tends to be fluid and blend into the normal bone at either end. 5 These injuries occur throughout the pediatric age range but are particularly common between the ages of 7 to 12 years old. If the view is in the plane of the bow, the bone may appear completely normal 1. 4 Specifically, 50 of pediatric wrist fractures are buckle fractures. When it is abnormal other signs of fracture should be. Distal radius and buckle fractures make up 27.2, which, by far, is the most common bone to be injured and sustain a buckle fracture. Child Protection Teams evaluated 44 patients (45%) and determined that 24 of those had 25 fractures caused by abuse (25% of the total study population).Among children with fractures determined to have been caused by abuse, the most common location was the distal humerus (50%) and the most common types were transverse and oblique (25% each) however, transverse and oblique fractures were also seen in patients whose injuries were determined to have been non-abusive. The anterior humeral line is a valuable aid in the search for supracondylar fractures in children. The most common fracture location was the distal humerus (65%) and the most common fracture type was supracondylar (48%). Some people only need a splint or cast for the bone to heal. You might need surgery to repair your bone. Humerus is the upper arm bone and it forms two joints. Transverse fractures are almost always caused by traumas like falls or car accidents. The 97 eligible patients had 100 humerus fractures. Greenstick fractures: This is a unique fracture in Children that involves. The main outcome measures were the type of fracture and the etiology of the fracture (abuse vs not abuse). Electronic medical records were reviewed for eligible patients evaluated between Septemand Januat two children's hospitals in Chicago, IL. To better identify factors discriminating between abusive and non-abusive humerus fractures, this retrospective study examined the characteristics and mechanisms of injuries causing humerus fractures in children less than 18 months of age. Fractures are the second most common abusive injury occurring in young children, particularly those under 2 years of age. |
